  • The Computer Industry Association of SA Incorporated is an independent association, funded and run equally by a cross section of the computer industry, including retailers, wholesalers, training and technical organisations.
  • The association was originally formed to protect both the buying public and association members from unscrupulous business practices being employed by some within the computer industry.
  • The CIASA is now a recognised body, working with government and trade bodies to introduce standards and certifications within our industry. Being a member of the association means being committed to the ideals of the association and development of a more professional approach.

Standards and Quality Practice

Code of Ethics

  • The association is working to develop standards and procedures to guide its members as they run their businesses.
  • We have done considerable work on workshops and the technical standards and practices employed within them.
  • CIASA member workshops can now receive accreditation when they meet a set of standards that accommodates the typical range of member workshops. The public will be able to recognise this achievement by the display of a large accredited workshop poster/window label.
  • A CIASA workshop certification will be a customer’s assurance that the personnel employed within the workshop are formally qualified and have genuine technical expertise and experience..
